Kenzie's Adoption Finalization

Today was an amazing day!  We celebrated Kenzie turning 6 months old at the court house finalizing her adoption.  You may be asking what exactly do they do at court?  Let me tell you.  It takes about 6 minutes total.  We started by getting sworn in and then our attorney and case worker proceeded to tell the Judge why we were there and that we wanted to finalize the adoption.  The Judge asked us simple questions to verify our information such as names, birthdays, address, etc...  He then asked Leah if she knew why we there, to which she replied, "So you can Judge Kenzie."  Gave us all a good laugh!  Then the Judge asked us the most important question, "Do you feel it is in the best interest of the child to be adopted by you?"  Of course we said yes.  He said "I feel it is in the best interest of the child to be adopted by Travis and Michelle."  I am not going to lie, it was pretty cool to hear the judge say that.  Then it was all done.  The judge put little medals around both girls necks and we took pictures.

We had to celebrate with ICE CREAM!
