Thanksgiving Day Weekend

It is so nice living somewhere that family wants and LIKES to visit!  It is also nice being close enough to family that they can visit, especially for holidays.  I have really enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house and open it up every year to anyone that wants to come. This year Amber, Justin and their kids came for Thanksgiving Day weekend.  Of course we were too busy having fun to take lots of pictures.  We went on a nice hike that had a great view of the new Phoenix Temple that is being built, built ginger bread houses, and enjoyed a nice turkey dinner.

Can you see the temple?

Family Pictures and lots of them!

Had a fun time today having family pictures done.  Leah is still a little stubborn (O.K...a lot) when it comes to looking at the camera and smiling.  The result was a few good pictures and a lot of funny ones and even more where only Travis and I are looking at the camera.  These pictures always make me realize just how blessed I am to have such a great, and may I add...ADORABLE, family.

I love Kenzie's face in this one

This one is my favorite

Leah was just playing with this umbrella, turned out to be one of the cutest pictures.

The Polar Express!

Today we took the girls on a drive to Williams and surprised them with a ride on The Polar Express.  It was very similar to the book, except that the adults got to go too!  We boarded the train, they fed us cookies and hot chocolate, and then read us the story "The Polar Express".  Then the train made its way through a tunnel that warped us to the North Pole where we got to see a small village with workshops, elves and reindeer.  While we were they we sang Christmas Carols and then Santa boarded the train and gave every kid their own bell.  Leah was so excited, but Kenzie was not really sure what to think.

Waiting to board the train

The worst part of this trip was that I had the stomach flu, but I toughed it out and we had fun!
