Glacier National Park (Part 4)

This should be my last post about this trip!  I started with 1500 pictures and I have some how narrowed it down to 4 blog posts(with this one being really long)...I am pretty proud of that!

We spent one day driving the "Going to the Sun Road", it is a gorgeous drive with so much to see.  I took way too many pictures, but don't worry I will only post the best ones!!

Really cool glacier bridges

Lunch at Logan Pass
We spent a day at Bowman's Lake, it is pure glacier fed and is freezing cold!  That did not stop us from getting in and splashing around.

Everyone's first reaction to the cold water

Our little friend we found hiding
Our last adventure was hiking to St Mary Falls, we were told that it was gorgeous and it was.  We did not know that it was a great place to cliff jump.  We did not take our swim suits, but that did not stop us from jumping in!

My turn...it was cold!

Almost too cold for Leah
This picture tells it all!

Glacier National Park (Part 3)

The longest hike we did was to Avalanche Lake, it was about 6 miles round trip.  The kids were such troopers and so was Travis, carrying both girls at the same time part of the way!

The hike was totally worth it, the view at the top was absolutely gorgeous.  Of course we let the kids play in the water again!

We also went to Many Glacier hoping to see Bears...no luck!  But the kids got to visit with a Park Ranger that let them touch different animal pelts.

Glacier National Park (Part 2)

Our trip started and ended at Lake McDonald where the kids got to enjoy playing in the water, canoeing, skipping rocks and a nice hike around the lake.  The water was a little cold but that didn't seem to bother any of the kids.

Leah loved the water, she didn't even need a swimsuit!

Kenzie wasn't sure at first, but then she loved it!

What a great hiking crew

The kids enjoyed having a picnic on the grass, learning about the sun from the Park Rangers, and playing at the Discovery Cabin.  Leah had fun learning about the different animals and how to take care of the park, as a result she became a Junior Park Ranger.

Glacier National Park (Part 1)

This year's family trip was with Travis' family going to Glacier National Park.  I could go here every year and never get bored with it, it is so gorgeous and amazing to look at.  We don't get to see Travis' brother Brandon and his family often, it was fun watching Leah and Kenzie play with their cousins.

We stayed in some cute cabins just outside of the park.  The kids loved playing in the dirt and having sleepovers in Grandma and Grandpa's cabin.
