There was a small rodeo put on at our church for kids to participate in.  There was a small petting zoo that Leah and Kenzie loved with lots of different animals.

Leah participated in a potato sack race, chased a greased pig, chased a chicken, and got to toss eggs.

 

 

When Daddy's Away The Girls Will Play

Travis was gone for the night so we decided to have a fun girls night and I let Leah plan the whole thing!  We started with building a fort, having pizza and watching a movie.  Leah insisted on being able to stay up longer than Kenzie, so half way through the movie we took a break so Leah could read Kenzie a book and put her to bed.

Once the movie was over, it was time for bed...but that plan changed when Leah begged to play soccer.  How could I say no to that??  So we moved the fort and used the mattresses to protect the windows and television.  Then played a little 1 v 1 indoor soccer.  

As soon as we woke up the next morning Leah was already planning our day.  The whole day consisted of swimming in the back yard.  I was told that I was in charge of taking pictures because there was not enough room for me in the pool. 

It was a great weekend and I am so glad we had this time together. 

A Trip to the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo with our friends the Nettles.  No matter how many times we go, it is always fun.  Especially when there is a splash pad.
