Helping Grandma!

My mom had back surgery a few weeks ago so the girls and I decided to head to Utah for a week to help out.  So actually, I went and helped out and Travis's mom was more than happy to play with the kids since I didn't want to tempt my mom with holding them and playing with them and possibly hurting her back.  Sorry Mom!  Don't worry, I did let them play at my mom's a little.

 Grandma Heidi and Grandpa Kim totally spoiled the girls, as you can see from the next pictures!!  It was pretty hard when we had to leave to convince them to come home with me.

 I just have to say...my mom is one of the toughest women I know!  I worked as an aide in physical therapy while going through college and I have never seen someone recover so fast.  Great job mom! 

Kenzie 11 Months Old

Kenzie is 11 months old and growing like a weed!  She stands up against the furniture and can even maneuver around as long as she is holding on to something.  She now has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth and many more on the way.  As you can tell from the pictures her gums are completely swollen and there is no way to stop all the drool!

Saguaro National Park

We decided to take a little trip down to Tucson for Labor Day weekend.  While there we visited Saguaro National Park and saw a LOT of cacti!  As we were driving around Leah would suddenly yell "STOP, look another cactus!"  As you can imagine, this was being yelled every minute or so.  If you have ever wanted to see a bunch of different cacti...your wait is over!!  Here are several pictures:

I love that the cacti bloom and grow flowers, it really is a cool sight.  We had fun trying to spot different colors of flowers.  

The neatest thing to me is that cacti can grow fruit, and the candy they make with it is delicious!

There were many different trails to hike and we had fun exploring the, trying to catch lizards, and watching the birds.
