Thanksgiving Day

Warning: Lots of pictures!!

This Thanksgiving we were blessed to have family come to our house again!  (It happens more when you live somewhere warm)  Travis' parents and brother, Braeden, came from Utah and my sister, Amber, and her family came from New Mexico.  It was a great mix of family and by the end my nieces were calling Travis' brother "Uncle Braeden".

Here are a few things to do at Thanksgiving time when you spend it somewhere warm like Phoenix (these may be considered traditions now):

1.  Thanksgiving morning is spent with the women cooking the big meal while the men go shooting.

Brother-in-law Justin

Travis

Travis' Dad Kim

Travis' brother Braeden
2.  Eat the big meal!!!

Yummy Rolls
Sweet Potatoes in the crockpot (new recipe)

3.  Go swimming to work off the big meal!

4.  Make gingerbread houses

Kenzie's Baby Shower

My friend Kristen threw a very cute baby shower for Kenzie.  It is so much fun getting together with friends to celebrate...and may I add that it is nice that Kenzie has more "non-hand-me-down" clothes!!

Leah's Dance Recital

Leah has been taking a dance class from Miss Angee for the last few months and has been loving it.  She even told me that she doesn't want to play soccer she just wants to dance.  Knowing my heart was broken at that moment she added "but I will try soccer again next year."  So there is hope!  Who am I kidding.  Watching her dance is the cutest thing ever and I am excited for her to have something that she loves so much.

As for the dance recital...Leah is not a big fan of crowds and when she walked into dance today and there were so many adults in there she froze.  It takes her a while to warm up to crowds, in today's case, it took most of the recital.  Luckily, by the end she actually went out and performed.  I was so proud of her!

The cutest thing EVER!!

Miss Angee tried to get her out there

But...that didn't last long

She went out there on her own
